It’s great to know Oakley glasses can support so much force but again no one buys these glasses for the protection and no one will use Oakley glasses in an environment where there eyes may be in danger of harm.
But they still make some pretty slick glasses.

I’ve had my A-wire’s since 2000 (they are 10 years old). I ran over them with the car this weekend (accidentally of course). It only bent the frames. Bent them back and I’m still wearing them.

Those weren’t oakleys. All oakleys with the exception of the “sideways” have the “O” sitting straight on the frame those were a bit diagonal. Those are what people call “foakleys” (fake oakleys) because they look like a pair, but really aren’t. People just get them to imitate the real oakleys and make themselves look cool

Its not really about how hard it is its about how well it cushions the impact and so the glasses dont break
glass is harder than rubber but glass breaks when a ball is thrown at it the rubber doesnt
people use it for the military
much more dangerous than working in a lousy factory
i dont know what kind of job you do, but i had been worker on a factory and i used a industrial security sunglasses UV , made in my country wich cost very much less than this 400$ oakleys, and to me was for free. im pretty sure mines was hardest cause was made for real workers. the same for tactical op, i think there isnot need to spend so much for the same protection.
And its not necessarily for fashion
I dont wear mine for fashion
I cant find other glasses that protect my eyes like oakley glasses do
Just for extra protection
and for the military
If your in a car accident
some other accident
its mostly for men too so for example I wear mine to the range
so make sure you bring oakley plutonite glasses next time you go paintballing

or go visit your nearest O store
your telling me you wont ever drop your fasion sunglasses??? there shatter proof my friend.
Still i dont understand why i should need ultra protection against impact on a fashion sunglasses instead use a industrial sunglasses protection wich cost much less if its really necesary for the job.

it just shows that if they can withsand that, then they can with stand anything blow that kind of stress
