Research has also shown that Hatha Yoga – the type of yoga practiced in the West – if practiced regularly, has a significant impact on muscle strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Studies on a group of people, who practiced yoga, revealed that after eight weeks – on average – the flexibility of this group increased 14% to 35%. Yoga is an excellent stress relief technique. This is a series of two mobile and fixed poses, combined with deep breathing. The mental and physical benefits of yoga provide a natural counterbalance to stress and strengthens the relaxation response in your daily life. Yoga is an ancient practice of body control and the spirit that was born in India several thousand years ago. It is a practice where he performed a physical and mental harmony. Yoga is practiced around the world is actually called “Yoga Has a component of healthy yogic practices. There are many articles in the practice of yoga that have different implications. You can counter the effects of the stress on your body through breathing exercises, yoga and other relaxation exercises. It contributes to better stress management and provides a feeling of general well-being. Breathing – Controlling your breathing is an important element of yoga. In yoga, breath signifies your vital energy. Yoga teaches that controlling your breathing can help you control your body and take control of your mind. If you have any ailments, feel nervous, or attending your first Restorative Yoga class, you should consult your yoga teacher, before school hours. Your yoga teacher may be able to advise you on techniques to reduce stress or pain. You can expect that your yoga teacher will be compassionate and modifications to postures will be taught. When we are totally relaxed using the techniques of yoga has to offer, our system slows body processes and real change occurs. These include slowed metabolism and respiration, constriction of pupils in the eyes and central nervous system is reduced or withdrawn “state of alert.
