De-stress Your Emotions Fast
Friday, May 7th, 2010All the emotions are divided into two categories, love or fear. Emotional stress comes from feeling fear. Whenever we feel threatened by situations that we can not control, fear arises and with it an emotional reaction. Fear responses include feelings such as anxiety, frustration, anger, hatred, helplessness, sadness, grief, depression and a myriad of other feelings.
The aim of this paper is to provide quick tips for dealing with emotional stress now and in time. it is useful to understand the unique stressors that affect you. Once you understand where models of stress, you can free yourself from these patterns.
Tip # 1 ~ Look at your symptoms
The early warning system for the emotional stress is in the body. Observation modes symptoms of stress in your body can help detect situations of emotional stress quickly. Symptoms vary from person to person, still tend to be consistent in all of us. Are you prone to headaches, backaches, stomach aches or? Perhaps you feel tremors in your arms, legs, abdomen, stomach or heart. Temperature changes as heat or cold, clammy hands and feet can also be signals that something is not quite right in a situation.
Once you identify your responses to a single body of stress, you can take steps to treat symptoms of emotional stress before the reaction becomes unbearable or debilitating, or before you say or do something you regret.
Emotions are neither good nor bad, they are a warning system that alerts you to danger. Tranquility requires emotional awareness. Pay attention to your emotional symptoms rather than ignoring them, to judge, not wishing, or drugs. This is the first step in understanding and taking action to reduce the emotional stress.
Your body, on the basis of past experience, pick up subtle signs in a situation that alert you to danger. When an element in a situation reminiscent of the body of a known danger in the past, it sends a direct message to the nervous system. The stress response makes the body ready for battle and ready to operate. This is your single “Fight” or “flight response. The response activates your nervous system making you physically ready to handle the dangerous situation.
The agency prepares a physical response, even when danger is about an emotional fear. The fear of disappointment, lack of recognition of a mistake, or other emotionally charged feelings may assign the physical fear response. The sooner you recognize your fear reaction, the faster you can fix and return your body to a relaxed state. Be alert for long periods, use the body. Some examples of long-term emotional wear and tear ulcers, headaches, backaches, heart disease, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
Tip # 2 ~ address the underlying fear
Ask the questions: “What am I afraid?” Or “How can I feel something in the situation is out of my control?” Then, facing the real fear or control problem. For example, if you’re afraid of making a mistake in a situation, you can ask for help, refresh your skills in this area for reading or exercise, or reassure you, remembering all the times you’ve done this task successfully.
Sometimes the underlying concern is not obvious. Evaluate the elements of the situation. Are some or all of these elements present at other times when you feel stressed? Is there a particular type of personality or a situation that continues to emphasize that you? Look for patterns. These indexes do not reveal the underlying fears.
Often, work-related stress is a childhood memory that the body is still signaling a terrible situation, although as an adult, you are quite capable of dealing with them. In these situations, the stress response may not seem logical, but your body gives you signals of stress.
Why it works ~ We are creatures of habit. The observation and understanding of our habits in uniform helps us understand where our past is conditioned inhibition flexibility and freedom of choice.
Tip # 3 restore internal control
Take a deep breath, feel your feet on the ground. Take control of your own energy and soil are the first steps to realize to control your reactions and your choices in the situation. You can not have control over a change in your work assignment, but you can control your choice of how to approach it and how you choose to think or feel the change. Every crisis is also apparent in her the opportunity to learn or try something new.
Why it works ~ In any situation, there are elements within your control, such as, breathing, thinking, feeling and personal action. When you start focusing on controlling your inner response, things are beyond your control becomes more manageable emotionally.
Tip No. 4 ~ Press it!
One of the most effective ways to cope with emotional stress right now is some type of acupressure points. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is simple, powerful and the best technique I found for the reduction of immediate stress.
There are four parts to this technique: Identifying symptoms or stressors and intensity, introduced the question, press the acupressure points and mainstream resolutions. You can access a video demonstration of these measures on the website at the end of this article.
Step 1 – Identify specific stressors – the tension in the right shoulder, trembling in the stomach, the fear of making a mistake to anger Dr. ____, ____ __ to say. Assign a number on a scale from 0 (low) -10 (high) indicating the level of intensity that you feel.
Step 2 – Establish the issue – while tapping the edge of the palm of your hand (on each side where you cut a board in karate), say (out loud if possible), “Even if I this (name the specific issue), I am deeply and completely accept myself. “Repeat the phrase three times.
Step 3 – Press the points of “Top of the head (fontanel area), eyebrows, side of the eye through the eye (all points of view are the orbital bone), under the nose chin in the throat, on the collarbone on the side of the body (about 2 inches below the armpit). Stress is often reduced or may not be gone just tapping points of the face / body. If not, proceed to exploit the finger (the side of the finger where the nail and skin) meet the thumb, index, middle finger. Use both hands – and across the organization. Reassess your intensity level.
Step 4 – Integrate the resolution – using four fingers into the throat of the valve on the back of your hand between the fingers of the ring and little finger baby while you do these movements: Close your eyes, open eyes without moving his head – Look hard left and right, roll your eyes clockwise and counterclockwise, hum short, count to five and hum again briefly. Reassess your intensity level.
You can do these steps several times until the disappearance of the reaction to physical stress. You can learn more about this technique or to consult a practitioner to use it most effectively.
Why it works ~ We are beings of energy. moves the energy meridians in the body’s energy. This is the basis for acupuncture and energy technologies. When energy is blocked, you have a physical reaction or emotional. By tapping on these meridians joints loosen blocked energy so you feel more relaxed.
Stress drains your energy and wears out the body. Be aware of your physical symptoms of emotional stress, understanding your underlying fear, taking control of yourself and tapping on your energy meridians are all effective ways to reduce emotional stress.
