ArmA 2: Processor Stress Test

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

In this video, I’m recording in ArmA 2 in a very dense environment. An environment like this is hard to handle for a computer, since it has to make much calculations at a certain moment. This results in a strong reduction of Frames Per Second (FPS). The average amount of FPS was 10 during the recording, and 20 after the recording was shut down. Specifications: Processor: Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13GHz (Standard speeds) Videocard: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512MB Point of View Memory: 2GB Ram 800DDR2 Harddisk: 300GB Seagate 7200RPM Windows Vista Home Premium ArmA 2 version 1.03 The hardware is not modified in any way, Overclocks where not used while recording. The 4 hercules’ trying to take off where the biggest decrease in performance, they made a difference of 10 FPS, which is pretty much. ArmA 2 was patched to version 1.03. This is the newest patch currently available. Patch 1.04′s primary objective will be performance, and I’ll definitely run this mission again, and see if the performance improved. Recorded with FRAPS
