Simple Relaxation — A Guided Meditation

By admin on July 2, 2010, 12:25 am

This guided meditation is from www.quietmindcafe.com and is one part of a three-part relaxation and stress management system. This guided meditation uses visualization techniques and a subtle rhythm to guide your mind to the relaxing Alpha state. You will experience a deep relaxation of the body and mind. The focus of this meditation is to quiet the Somatic Nervous System (Voluntary Nervous System). Created by QuietMindCafe.com For a complete relaxation practice use Simple Relaxation to relax the muscles of the body and the somatic nervous system. Use Quiet Mind to restore the experience of calm and balance to the mind and central nervous system. Finally, use Sympathetic Breathing to restore profound relaxation to the heart and autonomic nervous system — your fight or flight response. Together these three practices form a profound relaxation system that is essential for any stress management or stress relief practice.

@paulwhoo This is a Guided Meditation. With practice the voice will lead you to restore a calm inner experience. I am sorry this was frustrating for you. Self awareness can be disquieting at first.

@TheJasmineroxy Perhaps the Quiet Mind meditation will work better for you. Calming and quieting the mind is an essential part of relaxation and meditation. At times the mind is desperate for activity and easily gets bored.

This video helped me out a lot. I haven’t done guided meditation in ages, and in truth I’ve been making excuses not to do it. I found this video by accident and it helped me deal with everything that has been going on. Thank you.

I think I got it right now! I removed the postings that were the same as the one I left. This is my first time making a comment! I felt I needed to say something about how excellent this is!

I have to say that i had panic attacks when I was younger. They taught me guided relaxation and I was finally able to make them go away completely. 3 and 1/2 years ago,I was in a wreck and they came back. I have really struggled with them and had a hard time controlling them. I could not find the guided relaxation that used before to help me. When I found this, it was like the answer of a prayer. Thank you SOOO much. I now have some peace of mind back!!
