American families are consistently progressing. For many years they have been sending their children to school thinking that their children would benefit from a sound education. Year after year, parents have expectations as their children pass out from one school to another. Parents think that their children are gathering lot of knowledge in various subjects and believe that the end aim is being reached. But why should parents keep speculating about the education even after shelling out heavy school fees? Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? On the contrary, they can be sure and relax if they choose home schooling.
Home schooling has progressed and has developed into a new trend of teaching with care and love. Earlier in England, home schooling was taken care of by governesses who were hired by families, but now the times have changed and home schooling has become more versatile. Home schooling gives parents a chance to play a hands-on part in the child’s education without stressing themselves. Home schooling works towards benefiting the child as per his or her individual needs.
What’s the right time to start home schooling?
Parents keep wondering about the age and time to start home schooling their children. They always feel that home schooling should start as per the convenience and affordability of the parent. There is no specific time to start home schooling and you should home school your child only when you feel that you are ready to take on the responsibility.
There is no exact time to home school your child, so when you are ready with all the requirements then you should determine and pursue the process no matter what happens. You can home school your child even if your child has attended some other school earlier. Children love to read and listen to stories, they learn through their own understanding, experience and ideas. They love exploring new things and learning on their own.
Home schooling focuses mainly on-
. Discipleship- This is an area where the kids are taught about the holy words to gain wisdom. This inculcates love towards God and compassion in the child’s heart.
. Discipline- This is handled via the base subjects like math, language and arts as the children learn the fundamental learning skills and competencies.
. Discussion- This session utilizes maximum time for reading history and literature to the children. The child’s mind should be well fed with the best available content.
. Discovery- A child’s mind is directed towards natural learning such as studying about nature, science, creative arts etc. The basic goal of a parent is to stimulate a child towards choosing opportunities to enhance creativity, curiosity and discovery.
. Optional studies- This helps to highlight a child’s abilities, by focusing on his or her innate gifts and interests, life skills and community development.
Home schooling teaches, tutors, disciplines, and encourages your child. It shapes your child’s intelligence with every day and this can be really a daunting task if attempted by you on your own. If you wish to see your child accomplish his or her dreams in the world of competition out there, then home schooling is well worth the effort and investment.

Over the previous 12 months, home repossession in the UK has risen to an all time high, due to the global recession. The population of the UK has an estimated 1 trillion pounds in debt, including mortgages, credit cards and other loans.

If you miss just one mortgage payment, or just get a little bit behind on your payments, you will not face home repossession. In fact around 640,000 mortgage holders miss at least one mortgage payment per average year.

For your bank to bring action in court, you generally need to fall at least a couple of months behind with payments. And before they do anything, they will write to you or ring you to talk about the state of affairs. If you do receive a home repossession order, it doesn’t necessarily mean your home will be taken from you – you may still have time to come to an agreement over the debt. Some people have a number of court orders without actually having their home repossessed.

If you do get behind with your payments, the most important thing you need to do is to speak with your lender and explain the situation. Most banks would rather resolve the problem than have to spend time and money on repossessing your property, and forcing home repossession.

One option open to people who are having trouble meeting their mortgage payments, and who face home repossession, one might also consider refinancing your mortgage in a bid to avoid home repossession. If you have fallen behind in your mortgage repayments, and your credit history is usually adequate, you might be surprised with how easy you can get another bank or mortgage lender to refinance your mortgage. Of course restructuring the mortgage is only one, short-term solution, but it can help you avoid the stress of home repossession, especially if you see your finances improving in the future, when you get a better paid job. Additionally, refinancing you mortgage and avoiding home repossesion is also likely to save you from the collapse of your credit rating, which getting your house repossessed is likely to cause.

Specialist organisations also exist which specialise in buying homes which face repossession, and are acknowledged experts in the field of helping people who need to sell their home quickly to raise money and avoid home repossession.

If you do face home repossession, and your home isn’t sold for an amount sufficient to pay off the remaining mortgage balance, as well as any fees and interest, you may still be left with a substantial debt, which your lender will expect to be paid off. And if your home is repossessed, you are still responsible for ongoing property costs such as estate agent’s fees, legal fees and interest on your mortgage.

The importance of an organized, well-run home can not be over-stressed. Your home, and thus your family, will run more efficiently, and with efficiency comes less stress and more joy. More time to enjoy the pleasures of life. The little time it takes to put the system into place will be given back to you many, many times over – you will reap what you sow.
There are a few things to consider when formulating your individual plan of attack. Where do you see the problem areas in your home and life? Are the keys always missing? The sports equipment strewn about? Bills going unpaid, perhaps piling up with junk mail? Have you tripped over that pile of shoes for the last time – again?
Sometimes the best way to “fix” these problems is to stop fighting them. At this point, you are inevitably saying to yourself “What in the world..” Stay with me, and I believe you will see the sense here. If your family continues to leave their shoes like landmines in the hallway or by the door instead of taking them to their rooms or the hall closet, perhaps you should consider placing an attractive basket there for people to kick their shoes into. Work with your family’s tendencies, and you will see more positive results with less headaches.
Some things require a bit more willpower, but once you incorporate them into your routine, you will wonder why you ever did otherwise. If you need a place to keep your keys or your badge for work, think of a bowl or hook by the door. Maybe a tray on your dresser, if you find yourself coming home and rushing to change into something comfortable. Work with what feels natural, then enforce it. If you sort the mail each day and promptly get rid of the ads and junk mail, you will save yourself a great deal of grief. No more desks or kitchen tables or catch-all baskets swimming in useless papers – you can see the few things that do need attending to with ease.
Consider storage solutions and shelving for every room of your house. Use baskets and bins to further corral items, and your solution can be as attractive as it is smart. In the kitchen and pantry you can contain plastic storage containers, spices, sauce packets, anything you see causing clutter. In the bathroom cabinet, sassy baskets can hold hair products, lotions, makeup – whatever you see jumbled there. In the den, look to rein in toys, blankets, books, music, etc, with a beautiful trunk or basket matched to your decor – a storage ottoman answers many needs at once!
If you set your mind to making your home function as easily as possible, every little step you take will get you closer. Soon you will be able to enjoy it and your family, and they will thank you for it.

We have all heard about the horror stories associated with home improvement projects – untrustworthy builders, projects running way over budget, poor workmanship and disputes with neighbours. Before you start, just let your head rule your heart for a moment and follow my top tips for making sure your own projects avoid those pitfalls. Some sound upfront planning is the key to a happy and stress-free home improvement project.
1 – Get your neighbours buy-in – Putting up a huge home extension without their knowledge is bound to upset your local residents, so get them involved early, let them have their say and make a few compromises where reasonable. However make sure you still get what you want without disputes cropping up.
2 – Aim for a usable but inspiring design – Don’t go for a cheap and boring scheme, but equally, make sure you don’t chose an extravagant design that just hikes up the cost for no real benefit.
3 – Check that the value-add to your property is economical – Make sure the scale of your project fits the type of home you have. There’s no point in spending £20,000 on a building scheme that will only add £5,000 to the value of your home.
4 – Choosing a Builder – Getting references for similar types of building work is crucial, but it’s also a good idea to go with your gut feel about a builder. It’s important that you get on with them – afterall you’ll be seeing a lot of them over the coming weeks. Also check that the builder has appropriate insurance – things can and do go wrong.
5 – Can you live with the project while it takes place? – Tidyness – will the builder maintain a clean site and regularly hire a skip to dispose of any rubbish? Working hours – builders like to start early (and finish early!) Can you cope with a 7am alarm call everyday? Safety – if you have young children, is the builder going to be sensible about protecting them from any hazards? Disruption plan – make sure you know about, and plan for, any downtime on kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems etc. Duration – get a completion date agreed upfront and a rough work schedule so that you can spot and sort out any overruns as early as possible.
6 – Document your build specification as accurately as possible. This is a must if you are to avoid disagreements and cost worries later. At some point a decision has to be made on every facet of the build. Either you make them upfront and everyone knows what’s going on or someone (the builder or you) will need to make the decisions later – this can easily lead to misunderstandings and extra costs.
7 – Agree, cost and document all changes as they happen – there will be plenty of amendments to the build project despite all your best plans, but make sure they are agreed in terms of scope and cost as they happen, to avoid any nasty disputes and costs at the end of the project.
8 – Payment plan – Agree in advance when you will pay your builder and the amount. If paying in stages, agree the breakdown and timings.
You can then save interest payments by planning to receive your home improvement loan (if you have one) at the most appropriate time and not earlier.
9 – Withhold some cash for snagging and approval – Agree with the builder to retain a fixed amount or percentage of the total fee until you have reached final completion and got local authority approval for the work. If they don’t like this, be worried and maybe find someone else, because this is normal practice.
10 – Plan for full completion – Don’t leave the project partly finished, otherwise your enjoyment of the whole thing will be compromised. If costs are tight, then scale something back so that you have enough money to finished off the planned job.
11 – Don’t underestimate self completion costs or time – a builder will work more quickly and efficiently than you can, especially if you only have weekends or evenings to spare – don’t leave yourself a huge finishing off job to do that will seem to take forever and spoil the project.
12 – Buy cost effectively – Your builder may want you to buy most of the raw materials through him and profit from, or share, in any trade discounts he has in place. It’s best to agree how this should work beforehand.
So plan, plan and plan again. Chose the best builder you can afford and good luck! It everything goes well you’ll have a more valuable asset and an improved home to enjoy for years to come.

Home improvement shows are pushing some Canadians to opt for the “reno” of their dreams instead of a project more in tune with their financial reality.
Recent surveys have found that 60 per cent of respondents who have renovated their home recently developed a budget before starting their project. However, 27 per cent of renovators spent more than they planned.
Maintaining a renovation budget can be challenging, especially when home improvement TV shows and magazines stir-up consumer appetites for the latest in home appliances and décor. Home renovators often have the best of intentions when it comes to sticking to their budget, but often the influence of renovation shows can force them into a ’stretch’ situation, which can cause major financial headaches when the final bill is tallied.
The ability to anticipate extra costs through appropriate financial planning can reduce the stress of home renovations. Experts suggest securing financing prior to the renovation, such as a personal or homeowners? line of credit, which provides the financial cushion most home renovators require. Having a line of credit available doesn’t mean that you have to use it, but it does provide added security if you hit unexpected expenses such as re-wiring your home.
While the survey showed that 68 per cent of respondents use cash from savings or investments to pay for renovations, a lack of planning could mean financial challenges down the road. The survey also showed that 34 per cent of homeowners are borrowing to renovate.
Home Improvement Shows Could Spoil Your Whole Marriage
Attempts to emulate TV ?fantasy homes? could be turning DIY into D.I.V.O.R.C.E, according to a new study from British Gas? Web site http://house.co.uk. Over half of our DIY is now inspired by TV shows, but 80% of families admit to having had arguments over failed makeovers.
Two in three families cite disagreement over color schemes being the likeliest source of a break-up.
The research was conducted to assess consumer attitudes to DIY. http://House.co.uk features a national directory of ‘trusted tradesman’, provided by HomePro Ltd, the leading online supplier of screened trade professionals.
Calling in a tradesman could help families avoid not just a dispute, but also a massive bill. Householders spend millions fixing their DIY disasters.
Uncertainty over house prices means that 84% are taking tips from TV shows and redecorating instead of moving to another home.
Top Ten Reasons for DIY disputes:
1.	Disagreeing over color schemes
2.	The person doing the DIY didn?t want to do it in the first place
3.	Thinking it will be as easy as it looked on a TV show
4.	Jobs not being completed
5.	Finding the time to do DIY
6.	Mess /disruption
7.	Stress
8.	Costs
9.	Lack of basic DIY knowledge
10.	Male/female differences of opinion

Making the decision to purchase a new home can be exciting and stressful. When looking at homes there can be quite a big difference in value and prices. When talking to an agent or looking for yourself you may not know how much you can afford. Take the stress of home buying away by getting pre-qualified for a home loan. This way you will know exactly the price range you can afford to look for.

Getting pre-qualified is not as hard as it may sound. After choosing a lender you will need to bring a few items with you so that the process can be done quickly. Each lender may want something different, but the majority of lenders will need the following items to help pre-qualify you for a home loan:

Credit report – You should bring in a copy of your (and any co-signer) credit report from the three credit agencies: Equifax, Experian and Trans Union. This is the first thing your bank will need to see. If you don’t bring a credit report, it may take days for your bank to get them. You can get these reports yourself from home before going to the bank. Go to Freecreditreport.com for your copies.

Work history – Your bank is going to look into your work history and will need to know information on your current employer. They will probably look back a few years into your work history. If you have not been with your current employer for at least 2 years you will need to bring information on former employers as well. You need to have the full name of your employer, address, phone number and what your gross income is. A month or two of your paycheck stubs will be very helpful to your lender and may quicken the loan process.

Bills – Allowing your lender to see your current financial situation other than what is on the credit report can help them determine what you can afford to pay each month on a mortgage. Bring a copy of all of your monthly bills with you including electric, gas, water, grocery, phone and any other bill that may not be on your credit report.

Identification – This is something that may seem small but is required. Have your driver’s license ready when going to your lender to get pre-qualified. You will need some form of picture identification if you don’t have a driver’s license.

There are both enormous benefits and significant risks involved with working for yourself in a home-based business. You are totally reliant on your own skills and motivation to make a living, not to mention the smooth running of technology! Gone is the regular pay check and if you are typical of a new business operator, you will have a few rocky roads to travel before things go smoothly.
The many benefits of running a home-based business cannot be enjoyed until you get your new business on an even keel. You may find yourself initially working long hours for nothing while you get yourself established. One way to avoid this stressful period of business development is to start your business part-time and keep your current job while you gradually build your business. Alternatively, if you are well capitalized and can afford to take the time to build your business without being financially stressed, you can go through the process with less overall pressure and stress.
Most home-based businesses fail because people are not prepared. They may not have chosen the best product or service for them. Or perhaps they have not developed an effective business or marketing plan. It is important to take the time to gain the knowledge you need to become successful and to learn the necessary skills to get the best results.
The internet has opened up a world of opportunities to both learn about all aspects of business building and to even source products and opportunities to create your own home based business. Unfortunately, the internet can also be a trap for unwary entrepreneurs.
There are countless money making opportunities that promise rapid profits, fantastic support and guaranteed success. How do you sort through them and choose the best one for you? If you are looking to market someone else’s product either as a reseller or an associate it is very important that you purchase the product yourself first and make sure that you are happy with it. If a product is of poor quality, long term success is not possible. Choose a product that people use then need to repurchase. If you have to keep finding new customers because your product lasts forever then you have made things hard for yourself. Skin products, for example, are used and must be repurchased.
Finally, the health of the company is very important. How long have they been in business? How ethical are they? Research whether there are complaints on forums. If you invest your time, energy and money in building your business on the back of another company and it fails, you will lose your business.
Once you have done this and are in a position to implement a strategy designed to help you succeed, you can begin to enjoy the many benefits of working for yourself such as flexibility, better work/family balance, greater opportunities for wealth creation and let’s not forget massive time-savings because you do not need to travel to work.
If you lay a solid foundation when you are establishing your business, you will be able to build and enjoy a home based business you will be proud of.

Are you one of those people who wishes you had a 30-hour day? Do you long for having enough time to homeschool your children, cook gourmet meals, tend a garden, care for a large, five-bedroom house, play the piano, and sit by the fire reading a good book? The fact of the matter is many Americans today are operating under a time crunch. We simply don’t have enough hours in the day to accomplish all that we want to.
The situation creates an enormous amount of stress. We may feel as if we are constantly operating under a deadline. We may feel fatigued and frustrated, and we may wonder if we are missing out on much of life because we spend so much time doing and not enough time thinking. We’re stressed at work, stressed at home, and stressed at our son’s soccer match.
The irony is, the more we do, the more behind we seem to get. We are constantly on the run, yet we may feel as if we are accomplishing very little. As a result, our pessimism grows. We may become short-tempered, especially with those we love. We may feel as if we are constantly running on empty.
The good news is there is hope, even in the midst of what might seem a hopeless situation. We can get control of our lives and control of our time. It may take a little bit of effort and time, but it will be well worth it in the long run. The first step we need to take is prioritization.
Many people feel as if they lack time to do the important things in life simply because they do not take the time to prioritize. Write down a list of your goals for the week, for the year, and for the next five years.
When you do your initial brainstorming, you can list the goals in any order you like. Then go through the goals and rank them in order of importance. After that task is completed, figure out just how much time you would need to accomplish each goal. You may find that just five minutes here or there can make all the difference in the world in achieving the items on your priority list.
Next, learn to multi-task effectively. That time you spend waiting in the line at the drive-thru window could be spent balancing your checkbook. Or the time you spend paused at the cash register could be used to read a book or a magazine. In general, you should not think of lines as time-wasters. Rather, consider them opportunities to accomplish some small, yet important, tasks.
In order to be effective as a worker, spouse, and parent, you’ll need some alone time. Get an appointment book and actually schedule a block of time just for yourself. Your alone time could be spent praying, re-evaluating your priorities, charting your progress, or just fixing yourself a nice dessert. Just be sure that you have some alone time each day. Otherwise, you’ll be shortchanging yourself, and you’ll feel more stressed as a result.
Don’t be afraid to say no. You cannot be a cub scout leader, girl scout leader, fundraising chair, and prima ballerina all at one time. You’ll need to pick and choose your assignments, both your professional assignments and your personal ones.
If you simplify your life, you might be surprised at how much time you’ll gain and how much better you will feel. Sometimes, it takes some backbone to say no. You might disappoint someone. But, in the end, you’ll be much better off, knowing that you have not overcommitted yourself.
You should consider your time to be as precious as the President’s. There are a number of duties which make demands on your time, those you love and those you don’t care for. By employing some innovative scheduling techniques, you can set aside the time for those things that are truly important to you.
You’ll be less stressed, more relaxed, and better able to cope with the challenges you encounter on a daily basis. As you become less stressed out, you might find that your children, spouse, and friends follow your lead. And your world will become more harmonious as a result.

Work is bondage, work is liberation! Work is suffering, work is the bliss! Thus goes the wise saying in the sacred Oriental Texts. The detailed comments and analysis on this could be the matter for a big book. Here I will discuss the facts related to work stress only.
It is difficult to single out the causes related to work stress and headache. Stress at home could be the reason for your headache at office or vice versa.
Headache due to work stress may be due to various direct causes. The nature of work that you do could be the contributing factor. If you are sitting for example on the front desk, in places like railway station or any other counter you need to deal with hundreds of people. Your day is bound to spend with varying confusion causing queries.
At times, you may have to skip your lunch due to the over pressure of work on you. The frequent arguments that you have with some of your clients could be another headache contributing reason for you.
For a woman, if she is a homemaker, there could be several causes of stress related headache. Firstly, she may simply be unable to cope up with the domestic work. And, if she is a working woman, the combination of work stress at office and her domestic duties are going to challenge her physical as well as mental strength. She may experience continuous headache on these accounts.
Many times, the remedy becomes worst than the disease. When you have headache, possibly to counter it, you go on taking coffee, tea or any other soft drinks. The reputation of these drinks is well known to you. You have a feeling that there is some reduction in the level of headache, but it is actually not so. Caffeine content in these items is not the cure, but one of the underlying causes of headache. By making a habit of taking such drinks, you are only nurturing your headache.
To tackle headache due to work stress, you need to understand the causes of stress and the nature of your work. You need to budget your time and draw a work schedule. Your place of work is your place of worship, do your best for it, and then forget the rest. Do not give importance for the situations not created by you. Your patience and understanding can solve many of the problems, and consequently lighten your stress.
No matter what kind of work we do, stress is part of our lives. We can reduce our stress levels, but we can’t eliminate it. We can learn to control it and live with it. When you are able to eliminate the causes of work stress, your headache will be a thing of the past.

There is no way I can tell you to rid of stress completely. Each day we deal with stress that emerges from stressors. Note the keyword stressors, since this is what you want to focus on eliminating to learn how to thrive on stress.

Everywhere you turn, there will be stress. At home, we become stressed from dealing with outside activities as well as keeping up inside duties, such as laundry, cooking and trying to spend time with our loved ones. There doesn’t seem to be enough hours in a day to get everything done and relax too.

Learn to thrive on stress with stress management. When we learn to manage our stress, we gain confidence, energy, and begin to feel better about ourselves.

Discover your stress and stressors. Now visualize the consequences of making a choice to take a walk to reduce stress, rather than blow up or drink too much alcohol to cope. Next, think positive and decide what changes you can make to cope with stressful things that interfere with your success.

When you feel strained, take a stroll around the block to relieve stress. Walking will not only relieve you of some stress, but will also improve your health and build energy. We all need exercise for our bodies and brain for a longer and healthier future.

Exercise will make you feel like a new person as time goes on. We become relaxed with exercise, lowers our blood pressure and the heart rate gets a boost to help the blood flow smoother. Walking is the most effective way to becoming a new person that everyone will be please to be around.

Thrive on stress by learning meditation skills. Learn to meditate so that you can focus on what you must do to accomplish your duties. Meditation can be done anywhere by learning to focus on one thing. When you feel stressed, focus. Learn to meditate.

Sometimes when we have demanding deadlines, we often put other things aside and focus on the stress, rather than meeting the deadline, which causes us to fail with completing the projects to clear up time to get other things done. Try to focus on it with thinking positive so that you can accomplish your duties. If you have to take a minute and walk away from the task you are managing to meditate for a minute or two, do it.

Refocus and use your self-talk tools to relax and reaffirm that you will complete your task on time. Focusing on negative thoughts only makes getting the job done harder and sometimes unsuccessful. With negative thoughts, we begin to make mistakes because we are not thinking about what we are actually doing.

Change your ways by using self-talking tools to reform your mind from thinking negative to positive. The way we think is what we are going to tell our self through self-talk. If we are stress and we are thinking negative our self talk if going to tell us to do it wrong.

By thinking positive, we begin to program our self to get what we must do done on time and we do not worry as often.

Thrive on stress to make changes. When we thrive on our stress, it forces us to make changes in our way of thinking or to learn the skills that guide us to relaxation by meditating. Learn from our stress by recognizing what causes us to behave in making bad decisions or fail at making deadlines.

Learning to use stress as a way to make changes will help us gain confidence and become successful for a healthier and longer future. Take the pilot guide to thrive on stress.
