Everyone has an accent! Some are canadian, southern east coast or standard American!
Very informative video! Thank you so much. I am looking forward to trying your pronunciation software.
This is really helpful! I never noticed this pattern before.
Thank you so much Lynn

Huh, she teaches accent reduction but she has an accent herself!
great video, thanks
well, i think she’s right about driving.
this really helped alot, like it was my lesson in primary schooling and now i forgot bout it.. . . .this really helped alot, thanks madam. . .coz im looking forward to be a linguist. . .and i uh, have a question. . .is there such word as grotesque and qro-tesque?
Great videos. Thanks for the info.
I came to the US when I was about 13 (been here 20) and I’ve been surprised when people tell me I have an accent. I thought I didn’t ! What a lot of people don’t understand is that one is generally aware how he/she sounds.
Do you have any idea as to what age people will develop an accent when learning a new language? For instance, if somebody starts at age 5, it’s reasonable to assume they won’t have an accent, etc..
Thanks for your comment. There actually is a way to predict word stress. It is based on the word ending. It is a bit much to go into here…but take my class and find out for yourself!
This video is helpful, but the final comparison about car driving is a bit fallacious : there is no simple rule to know how to put the correct word stress on a word in english. You have to look in a dictionary or to be in immersion with native speakers.
She is a real teacher.
I cant stand the Vowel Pronouncations of the American Accent.
Accent Master opened a new door for me. My ex teachers never told me the difference between a noun and a verb while pronouncing them. Well I can see now there is a difference. Its like I have been given a new information. VERY IMPORTANT ONE. Well done Lynn

You’re so right on that. That’s true for French too. Too often, speech therapists insist on the importance of articulating and opening the mouth wide, but this is not good advice. On the contrary, native speakers don’t do that and speak effortlessly, with a minimum of mouth movements. That’s the way I learnt American English, by speaking as naturally and effortlessly as possible and the rest is good!
thank you!! and God blees, its really help!!!
Hey Lynn
I was wondering if you can look at my video, and judge my accent. Please give me some recommendations and advice. Thank you.
Louieionoz,
I’m sorry British and Australian accents are not what I have studied.
Can you make an addendum with british accent and australian accent.
Good video! Another trick to emulate American accent is to practice the Long Vowel Sounds like the “a” sound in ape; “e”=eel; “i”= iphone
o=over; u=user. Gotta soften pronunciation and don’t open the mouth too wide. If you notice, most fluent English speakers move their bottom lips more.Helps control sounds I think
GOOD ONE
thanks a lot. you are the best!
that “Record” exaple was really great!!
Could you plz give us some homework thing?
I wanna post some video presoponeses to be checked my pronunciation~
Your videos are very useful. I look forward to seeing more. Thanks.
