Paul Haber earned his Ph.D. in Health Psychology from the Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio with a special focus on behavioral cardiac rehabilitation and stress management counseling.

In 1978, he became CO-Founder and CO-Director of The Stress Institute in Miami, Florida, and was involved in developing stress management workshops and educational materials in that field. He also has conducted stress management workshops throughout Florida and around the country.

He is the co-author of The Stress Reduction Workbook and has written and recorded more than a dozen audio tape programs which are still being used in Universities, Hospitals, HMO's and other agencies and organizations around the world. Dr. Haber was a pioneer in the development of techniques to change "Type A" or cardiac prone behavior (the basis of his doctoral work).

His doctoral research focused on working with recovering cardiac patients who were "Type A" identified, teaching them stress reduction techniques in an effort to alter serum cholesterol levels and reduce hypertension. He created an audio tape incorporating his techniques and has written and lectured extensively on this topic. He was also in his own clinical private practice for a number of years specializing in general therapy, stress related problems and disorders, as well as behavioral cardiac rehabilitation.

A Fellow of the American Institute of Stress in New York, he is also listed as an expert witness in the field of stress management with Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania His biography appears in the 23rd, 24th and 25th editions of Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, 1st Edition.
